CHILDRENS MINISTRY
Word of Abundant Life Christian Center believes that our young people are a vital part of the church today and the leaders of the church of tomorrow. We believe it is never too early to start building a relationship with Jesus Christ.
OUR MISSION
To teach the principles of the Word of God so that children will trust Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, thereby experiencing a positive faith and lifestyle
OUR GOALS
·To develop children as a whole person (spiritually, emotionally intellectually, socially and physically);
·To teach the principles of the Kingdom of God using interesting, fun and exciting curriculums;
·To encourage growth in private and public prayer;
·To develop character, respect and integrity in the children through building self-esteem and confidence;
·To provide Christian role models who will demonstrate Christ's love and concern
Weekly Schedule:
Both services held on Sunday, children attend the opening portion of the worship service. Afterwards leaving the sanctuary, the children divide up according to age-graded appropriateness for Christian study.
Sunday - All Children & Infants
1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month.
There is no class held on the 4th Sunday of the month.
Wednesday
Wednesday evening groups for all children during adult Bible study. There is no nursery class available on this night.
Classrooms Offered:
(Nursery)
Our nursery is a bright, active and safe environment where children from birth to 12 months old experience God's love through the care of volunteers who love children and are committed to providing exceptional care while you attend the service.
(1 year olds - Kindergarten)
This class is a time of praise and worship along with a Bible story and activities that helps this age group understand God’s Word.
(1st grade - 4th grade)
This class is a time of worship and age appropriate small and large group activities. Children gain an active knowledge of Christian principles by looking at Biblical accounts of God's presence in and through His people. Children will also learn how to apply God's Word to their own lives and how to live for Christ daily through their actions, words and relationships.
(5th grade - 8th grade)
This class combines discussion, group activities and small group time to help this older age group dig deeper into God's Word. Kids are challenged to really see how God makes a difference in their lives, how they can live a life according to His Word and through His Son and how they can be a witness for Him in their family, neighborhood and city.
Our Children’s Ministry is designed to bring our children into a closer relationship with God and His Word.
We are dedicated to partnering with parents in raising their children in the Christian Faith. It is our desire to build God's principles from the Bible into each young child’s life.
It is our prayer that God will enable parents to provide a loving Christian home for their children and that He will give us the wisdom to compliment their efforts with a loving Biblically based children's ministry.
